Overview
Remote access fraud usually starts with a call or pop-up about a 'problem' with your device, followed by a request to install software such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer.
Common warning signs
- Unexpected calls about a computer problem
- Being asked to install software
- Being asked to log into online banking while they watch
- Pop-up warnings with a phone number
What to do now
